As we age, we lose layers of collagen, creating fine lines, wrinkles and sagging skin. ThermiSmooth® Face uses temperature-controlled heating to tighten, tone and improve the overall condition of the skin.
ThermiSmooth® Face uses radio frequency energy to gently heat the skin tissues and stimulate the body's natural production of collagen. Although treatments can be done for the entire face, the application is ideal for the fine skin around the eyes and lips. As the skin's structure is strengthened, it becomes visibly smoother, tighter and healthier-looking. In the months following treatment, the skin continues to tighten and new collagen is formed; so the results only get better over time!
What to expect
ThermiSmooth involves using a specialized device that delivers gentle radiofrequency energy to the treatment area. You may feel a warm sensation as the device glides over your skin, which is typically described as comfortable and soothing. The treatment is relatively quick, often lasting about 30 to 60 minutes, and requires no downtime. Afterward, you might experience mild redness or swelling, which usually subsides within a few hours. Most patients resume their regular activities immediately, enjoying smoother and firmer skin with each session.

It is recommended to undergo 3 to 4 treatments for longevity. For hooding of the eyelids, results are quite dramatic and long-lasting for up to 2 years. Wrinkles around the lips and facial areas last 8 to 12 months. Single maintenance treatments are recommended annually.
Eyelid hooding: Approximately 3 treatments.
Lips: 3-4 treatments, depending on personal lifestyle variables (damage from smoking, smile lines, etc).
Lines and wrinkles: 3-6 treatment for similar smoothing results to that Botox provides.
Treatments are spaced 1-3 weeks apart. Effectiveness may decrease if you treat outside the parameters as you are losing value of stacking heat anywhere past 3 weeks.
Most patient notice immediate results, with continued improvement in a series of treatments over 6-8 weeks. Collagen production in the skin is a gradual process, so full results are achieved after 3 to 4 months.
Prior to treatment, you will be asked to remove all jewelry. Any lotion or makeup will be removed by the provider. A thin layer of gel will then be applied to the treatment area.
ThermiSmooth® Face is performed using a specially designed temperature-controlled hand piece. It will be gradually heated from 35°C up to 42°C. The hand piece is moved in a circular motion to gently heat the skin’s surface using dermal heating.
During the treatment you will feel warmth and provide ongoing feedback to the medical professional performing the treatment. Therefore no anesthetic numbing aid should be used prior to or during the treatment.

Slight discomfort may be experienced while undergoing treatment. Typically the discomfort is mild and temporary. The treatment feels warm and some even find it relaxing. ThermiSmooth uses a unique wavelength to eliminate the friction that can cause pain. Ongoing feedback should be provided by you to the medical provider to avoid excessive discomfort.

A typical appointment lasts 45 minutes. The treatment itself will take approximately 30 minutes, 8-10 minutes per eye and 10-20 minutes around the mouth. Your medical provider will also want to spend time discussing your desired outcomes, as well as what you should expect in the days following treatment.
